Antique Poster Look—early 1900's

from MMMLC Apr 16, 6:46pm

i'm leaning towards this entry the most so far. the newspaper idea is an eye catcher . some of the copy would need to be changed. and we might want to incorporate a picture of the band on the back . not sure if it will distract from the overall look. and the front picture is good but i am open to other ideas.

from CreativeBlazeDesign09 Apr 17, 10:35am

Definitely the copy can be what ever you choose it to be, overall concept is for it to look like late 1800's newspaper article.... photographs can be placed in and around text and can be colorized to have that old yellowish sepia tone to them. Just pulled photo off web...any other can be substituted. Let me know and I can incorporate those photos you choose so you can see what it looks like Thanks!

ok i will send some pictures later you might use. what is your e-mail address. fred

Perhaps change "Ho for the Yellow Stone" to "Westward Ho for the Yellow Stone" Change "Narrated by Renown Colorado Miner" to "Narrated by the men who have been there". 4. On the back side (left side), change "Gold Mines of Colorado" to "Famous Colorado Gold Mine." 5. Perhaps have tacks or small nails in the corners of the paper like it is tacked up. 6. If wanted, you could have a darker wood grain behind the edges of the paper as if it is on a wooden wall

from MMMLC Apr 19, 8:36pm

will have pictures posted soon.

from CreativeBlazeDesign09 Apr 30, 11:47am

Thanks for your feedback!... I've made the changes you've requested...added "barn wood" image to background, added nails to the poster (nice touch!) and included the band on back cover. (Didn't see the name of the band on the design brief???) The images and text can be changed to whatever you're needing it to portray...also added a spine to the cover...

Sepia like toned with subtle color and strong blue Banner

from DightonDesign May 17, 3:43pm

It would look better without the watermark on the photo, but, you get the idea. I am considering putting photos on the back of the mine two or three, next to the man in the playing the instrument....tall, three stacked on top of each other...but I did not want it to be too busy. I look forward to hearing from you. Cheers, Fran
